Ask Dr. Casey
Question: My dentist recommends treatment that my dental insurance does not pay for. Does this mean the treatment isn’t necessary?
Some dental plans will only provide for the least expensive way to treat a dental need, regardless of what the best treatment should be. It is common for dental plans to exclude necessary treatment. Patients need to be aware of the exclusions and limitations of their dental plan, but should not let these determine treatment.
At Dr. Casey’s we work with you as a team to determine the course of treatment, and utilization of your dental benefits.
